Hi PofP,
I hope you don't me giving my position. I am not totally well-versed in this issue, but here goes:

If the method in any way kills a fetus (that which happens at conception), that is absolutely wrong. It's murder; It's sin! and the Bible says "thou shalt not kill." It's no better than an abortion performed with a vacuum or saline solution..it's an abortion basically with a pill or whatever method.

As for other methods that block conception, I am not fully convinced yet. The problem I see with birth control is that I think it's a way to hide sins...say a lady goes out, has sex with a man, her husband doesn't know. Boys and girls can have sex without it's consequences. That's probably one reason why so many people today are living together out of wedlock. People can have sex, get married, but divorce just as easy since no kids may be involved. And if it's marriage outside of God's outline in the Bible, that is sin too--called adultery. Birth control to me just makes it harder to resist sin. And to fall into sexual sins incurs God's wrath, spreads disease, and can jeopardize entrance to heaven..as St. Paul warned about those who practice sexual sins, they shall not inherit the kingdom of God. That's in the New Testament, written to two churches and valid for today. The way to escape is to repent and be forgiven and sanctified by the blood of Christ, and put those sins behind.
