Quote:
1. Early Church was in disunity ( I Cor 1 )

not the Early Church was in disunity. The people of Corinth that Paul was speaking to were arguing and he admonished them big time for it.
Quote:
2. True Church unity is spiritual in nature, not physical ( I Cor 12 ) Kingdom not of this world.
i'm going to be honest-i don't know where you're getting that from this particular verse. However, the body is both visible and invisible. It is to be seen to be a witness.
Quote:
3. Disunity in another body of believers is a negative argument that does not really prove that the church pointing to the disunity in the others fold is by default the true church -- it is possible that both groups are false.
Yes and no Daniel. i can agree with this up to a point.
I won't get into it here. And i doubt i'll be back-every time one of us comes back here we just keep the board going. I figure if all the Catholics steer clear then the board may just drop off the planet. Nobody to argue with then.
Quote:
4. Joseph Smith was a false prophet.
I've come to that same conclusion but i'm not going to focus on this. Let LDS speak for LDS and Catholic speak for Catholic.
