John, did Timothy, Titus, and even Peter follow the biblical mandated way to appoint pastors of their respective churches? Very interested to know how they would have been able to do that.

But I do agree with you, the appointment of pastors either right out of seminary or the re-appointment of pastors from a community in which the church loves them, and he loves the community - madness I say. Of course I've seen Catholic pastors who were moved from a parish in which they obviously fit like a glove; but I've seen Methodist, Presbyterian, and Episcapalian pastors also taken from their respective congregations, and communities, to the detriment of both. - sigh -

Now of course in Baptist churches, where the council of deacons can fire the pastor for - just about any reason, I find just baffling....
