Hey Pad,

You had asked:

"Than you agree, with a persons right to own a firearm, even now?"

Only if they don't have a violent criminal background. I do believe that there are many responsible gun owners out there. And we should be given a right to defend our homes and families if need be.

I also believe that children should be taught gun safety. And if it is not availble in the community, then the parents who are responsible for those children should teach them.

I was raised around guns. My step-father was very responsible. He taught us how to shoot them, how to hunt, and respecting the fire arm.

I also, in my early twenties, had a gun put to my head once. Talk about freaking out! It was by an over zealous Arabian motel owner. We went to visit some friends, and being loud and obnoxious as we were, complaints went to the front desk. I heard someone says, "FREEZE!" I turned and looked, and a gun was pointing me right between the eyes. Needless to say, we left and never did get to see our friends. They came in from out of state.

So, I can see both sides of the issue. Now, if that motel owner had shot me, he would of went to prison. I wasn't doing anything wrong except being loud. However, my life was spared. Amen?!

Yes, I believe in fire arms. I believe that is a right in which we should keep a hold of. I believe that we have a right to protect our families, homes and our own country if someone tried to invade it. Amen?!

Good seeing you!

In Christ,

Deborah
