Well, Deborah, we don't have bingo at my church. We don't have carnivals. We tithe, give 10% of the parish donations, to local charities, like the food bank, the women's shelter, a local non-profit store who sells donated goods for very cheap and gives money to those who need it immediately, a homeless shelter, and a Native American aid agency.

At Thanksgiving time, we have a Thanksgiving basket gift program for needy families. Parishioners voluntarily make up a food basket for a Thanksgiving meal plus other food items for a family of 6. We work with two Protestant churches on this project. This year we gave away 450 of these baskets. And we don't question whether people really "need" it or not. If they come, we assume they need it.

Sorry, I'm just not convinced by your propaganda. I see what my church does, and I know we're doing Christ's will.
