William continues

Quote:
before he became a Christian? when was that. he first banishes all the Arian bishops from the kingdom. 7 years later invites them back under his protection and even had one of them baptize him. so if anything he was baptized an Araian and not a Christian

being baptized Arian is why your sect calls him the great. wonderful revelation. I have to bookmark that one for future reference

Quote:
Constantine was originally a pagan, John, who later converted to Christianity, remember?

I remember I had just told you he never renounced his high priesthood as Pontifex Maximus. I remember I had just told you he was baptized Arian. Is that Christianity to you now?

Quote:
As for the mosiac, please give me a good link to that, if possible...

links, links, links. does anyone read any more. Try Eerdmans history of Christianity where he pictures the mosaic in the vatican garden and not the sunburst in Saint Peters. it is Christ as the sun god apollo riding in a chariot. His high priest loved this apollo guy, remember

Quote:
By the way, Constantine is credited for allowing Christianity to expand as it did! Constantine alone? No, as I think the holy Spirit did a little guidance here. He may have not been the best Christian in the world, waiting until his death bed before he was baptized, but the Lord sure did use this man for His purposes, don't you think, Elder John?

he also let his heathenism continue. it was not a promotion of Christianity but a tolorence. big difference

and yes God also used Pharoah, a mule that talked, babylon, Persia, the Medes, and others to accomplish his will. this in no way makes them godly, it makes them tools

how deluded. yes he was baptized William - - - as an Arian!

Brother John
All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work. (2 Timothy 3:16)
