Altska,

Amen to you! You have always been taught something, but never coming to the conclusion that it was Truth. Seeking to find the answers to things that you are not sure of.

That is wonderful! You are not settling for what mere men say. Here you will find truth in a few ways:

1. Through historical information. And that is important. You know, there is a lot we are taught in school that is not Truth.

2. Through the Scriptures. Amen to that! Truth always is found in the Word.

3. From testimony's and experiences of those here.

4. From the debates that will be put up! Weighing the balances; thus the truth will always prevail.

I was always taught that the catholic church was the way of salvation. Amen?! I was raised in that mentality and was a catholic for thirty years.

Now, everything that I believed, I was taught! I never went outside of that teaching to see if it was truth. Never! I accepted it!

After I was damned by the church; anger and doom abound in my life. I still never sought truth, however I couldn't believe that I was damned to hell for having children without being married. I was taught that we must repent! I did! How devestating it is to here that repenting wasn't enough. The prayers through the rosary wasn't enough.

The first time doubt or a question arised when all this took place. How could God hate me so much as to not forgive.

When the truth came, I was that much more devestated to find that I was lied to. >:

Thus, my journey began! Do I take what every man says as Truth? No! I search things out for myself to see if they are so. Amen?!

God has given all of us that command to search the scriptures; to give attendance to reading; to rightly divide the Word of Truth; to compare Spiritual with Spiritual and so forth.

This was given to all of us. And we all have the ability, guided by the Spirit of Truth, to come to know Truth. We need not a man to teach us:

"27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him." I John chapter two.

Amen?!

We need to be as those in the book of Acts chapter 17:

"11 These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so."

Amen!

It is good seeing you!

In Christ,

Deborah
