It seems that many rather "think" they are saved, than "know" they are saved.

"39 Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me." John 5.

Jesus taught this! Everyone wants to say that the disciples/apostles didn't have the written Word, thus how could they have read it?

Well, apparantly they had the written Word, or Jesus wouldn't of taught this.

You can take the O.T. and witness to someone and they can come to know Christ. Amen?!

As the disciples/apostles were taught by Christ, thus they went out Preaching the very Words that He taught them. Thus, eventually, they were written down for all to have after they had departed.

Scripture tells us that:

"13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?

15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!

16 But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report?

17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

18 But I say, Have they not heard? Yes verily, their sound went into all the earth, and their words unto the ends of the world."
Romans 10.

This is how the world will know! Amen?! We are commanded by God to preach the Word to all nations! Amen?!

And today, there are missionaries out in these foreign lands, preaching the Word of God.

The Bible says:

"14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come." Matt. 24.

When Jesus comes back, all the world would have heard the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Those who believe that the Gospel is not preached in all the world are very deceived. For the Gospel has been preached in all the world by the apostles.

Many people rejected the Gospel in their time. Many who knew God, turned from Him. Changing His Truth into a lie.

Today, many missionaries have preached the Gospel of Jesus Christ in foreign lands. Even in the closed nations, there are people who have risked their lives and preached the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

So, we know that we need to Search the Scriptures for etnernal life. We also know that faith cometh by the Scriptures. And we also know, by KJB's posts, that we are born-again by the Word of God.

Does someone have to hear the Word in order to be saved. Yes, according to the Word of God.

In Christ,

Deborah
