>well no Christian ever said everything in the bible is literal. what we have said repeatedly is that it is the only authority in matters of faith

It's true that none of you ever say that everything in the bible is literal, but you guys do take verses from the bible literally, even the parables and use it to argue against the Catholics.

>well with that atitude it is a wonder he is a priest at all. how can one be sure Jesus really died or that God really dislikes sin or that there is a hell or heaven, or that there was a Jesus. maybe its just a metaphor for the good in ourselves and the world
what liberal modernist nonsense. and then you guys wonder why we say you preach a different gospel?

Of course he believes in the death of Jesus. The main story is obviously there: Jesus preach, Jesus heals people, and are crucified in the end etc. The difference is that he doesn't read the bible word by word. He read the verse/parable by taking consideration of the context, history, people of the time and if it's appropriate he'll read it literally.

Actually, we never wonder if you guys preach a different gospel. It's the same gospel/bible anyways. But we sure do always wonder if you interpret it differently and read it too literally. = )

Thanks.
